  The Egg Drop Project
Picture
The first stage of The Egg Drop Project is an opportunity for the students to appreciate the fragility and importance of an egg. It's a week to learn about egg laying creatures, parts of an egg, eggs in myths, nutrition of an egg and even share egg recipes. The main event of the week is Parenting or Adopting A Baby Egg. This has traditionally been a student favorite and it provides learning opportunities  for students  to experience responsibility, cause and effect, life skills and parent appreciation. By making the time to be "the guide on the side" teachers are more aware of the learning opportunities that this activity creates. Over the years new activities are created and others refined.
